How I got into skydiving...

I did my first tandem on May 15th, 1999 with 11 people from work (and
spouses, friends, whatever). My first words after landing (and saying
WEEEEEEE!) were "Get me back up there."  Barry, two other guys, and I did
our second tandems that day as well. Barry, his cousin, and Eric (my
senior) went to Boogie Nights that evening. About 3 weeks later, Barry and
I finally had our schedules coincide enough to go for AFP transition. We
did our first jump that day and went to Boogie Nights that night (again).

Again, about 3 weeks later, we went for jump #2, played at Boogie Nights
that night and returned for level 3s the next day. 3 weeks later, we were
back. I finally had had the oil leak in the duster fixed, so I was no
longer dependent on Barry, so I drove myself and stayed for my first whole
weekend at the dz. I also had finally settled into receiving a regular
paycheck, so I was able to jump more often. Did 4,5, and 6 that weekend. I
finished up the program by doing three levels every weekend until I was
done.

First few jumps off student status included a jump with Mama Tish, a
tube-exit dive with Rook, and a jump with Sparky (then Rodney)...and thus
started my sport parachuting! Woohoo!
