My Story

Well we were sitting around the house getting hammered and watching HBO. There was this short take on skydiving and we all said hey we're gonna do that. Did not think much more about for the next couple of hours until my brother comes home from a job in Milwaukee. It just so happened that as he was coming home on the interstate between Milwaukee and Beloit that he sees skydivers at East Troy. The airport there is right next to the interstate (this is still when it was just a grass field and a couple of t-hangers, not what some of you may be familiar with today). Well he stops to watch for awhile and gets a card from the DZ and makes a reservation for an unknown number of people the next weekend (figuring he could talk some of us into it).

So, anyway, he gets home and tells us about this place, naturally being totally wasted by this time we told him about the show and that we were all going to jump no matter what. Roger (my brother) says "cool, I made reservations for us next Saturday." HUH!!??!!!

Anyway, the next Friday evening we all proceeded to get wasted again as by this time we figured it would be our last chance. We got up (well, stayed up until 4 the next morning) had our last breakfast and headed for the DZ.

Well the rest is history now although some of it has been clouded by consumption of mass quantities of....(these things are better discussed around a bonfire).
